Position: Operations Research Analyst for Chap Investment LLC

Full time in Allston, MA

Job duties:

1. Support business operations and all business functions; collaborate with senior managers and decision makers to identify operational problems, clarify strategic initiatives and devise problem-solving actions.

2. Leverage tools including SQL and Excel (Vlookup, pivot tables and Macros) to formulate mathematical and simulation models and drive statistical analysis of large sets of data to define operational problems encompassing all phases of operations e.g. organization structure, sales, marketing, HR, pricing, profit analysis, and customer services, optimize business performance, minimize operational risks, reduce cost and increase revenue, improve customers’ satisfaction and enhance overall business functions; lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies.  

3. Generate descriptive profiles from historical data; develop predictive analysis techniques and algorithms to improve business operations.

4. Track business performance and KPI trends against operating plans, prepare variance analysis for management and other key stakeholders.

5. Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

Job requirements:

Master’s Degree in Leadership, Management or related; 18 months experience involving analyzing data from various platforms including Yelp and Google Review, digital marketing, pricing, SWOT and VRIO analysis, managing customer relations and supporting management decision-making. Part-time equivalent experience accepted.
